There's no doubt about it, according to a survey by New Corporation subsidiary NDS Group -- you can't live without your DVR. In numbers that likely surprise absolutely no one who has almost forgotten what it was like to have to watch TV only when it aired, DVR owners ranked it second only to cellphones as a tech item they can't live without. That device might be saving your relationship as well (clearly they were not witness to our who-deleted-the-
BSG-season-finale breakup of spring '07), with owners saying it makes for a happy home life. Of course, since NDS makes DVRs, we understand why they'd want to make sure everyone knows how vital they've become. More numbers are available past the read link, we'd delve deeper into them but this season pass of
Futurama isn't going to watch itself.

The ability to fast forward past all those commercials I've seen hundreds of time, and the horribly produced local car dealerships ones, is worth my monthly Tivo fees. Oh, did I forget that skipping all those Billy Mays' commercials is the best part of owning a DVR ...lol

Hell no. I would give up my TV before giving up my DVR.

I don't remember how I watched TV before TiVo. I know I did...I just don't remember HOW.

Not have TIVO ??? There ain't no mother#@$%& way i would not have TIVO now.
A few weeks ago I just completed getting TIVO Series2 in the kitchen up and running.
Now all 4 TV's in the house have TIVO and the other 3 are HD units with 1 of them being a Series3.
PS: What's with the gray boxes on this page?
I hope this gets through and as I am typing the word wrap is not working.
