One of the biggest issues of the 2008 Presidential campaign will certainly be how much high definition does your candidate have? Next week in Minnesota the Republican National Convention will feature HDTVs from LG throughout the Xcel Energy Center, but the highlight will certainly be the 51- x 30-foot Hibino Chroma LED video wall behind the podium area. Stacked against an array of Panasonic projectors and plasmas from the
DNC's show in Denver, we expect single issue (resolution, compression, plasma vs. LCD) voters will have a lot of thinking to do over the next few months.

They couldn't have picked a better venue, the Xcel Energy Center is a model of how stadiums should be done. It is great for hockey and musical events, not a bad seat in the house!
I will be avoiding both cities from this weekend to next weekend, don't feel like dealing with the influx of people, especially the stupid out of town ones and all the dumb ass protesters. Will be interesting to see if the protesters do follow through with there threat and how many are arrested because the state is ready for them.
I also hope I don't have to deal with excess traffic at the airport on the 7th, I have to travel for business and don't need to deal with bigger lines.

Do we really need to see John McCain in HD? The VP nominee, on the other hand...
Rob @ Aug 30th 2008 9:08PM
I agree ....

This way they can see any last melanoma spots on his face
Jon @ Aug 30th 2008 7:18PM
I will not be watching , i hope he gets 2 million viewers to obamas 38 million

That's what it SHOULD be since everyone hates Bush, but both parties have once again produced weak candidates, and that's why they are neck and neck. Even more sad on the Democratic side since all they need to do is get someone to say "I'm not Bush", and then shut up and win.

Too bad, latest Zogby poll done entirely after Obama's speech has McCain up by 2. Hehe, so long Barry Bounce!

Looks like a hell of a spread.
I cannot imagine the total bill for the DNC and RNC.

Hang two Nazi banners next to the American flag, can't you see that arena in Nuremberg around the 40s?
Tom @ Aug 30th 2008 8:45PM
My thoughts exactly! It looks very black-red-white..
William @ Aug 31st 2008 2:53AM
Have to say when I saw the setup I thought the same thing; that or a scene from the future ala 1984; big brother is watching
MadMike @ Aug 30th 2008 7:51PM
I think both parties wasted way too much money they could of used to lower our taxes and helped people.
Jeremy W @ Aug 30th 2008 8:30PM
How exactly would the party's money be used to lower taxes? Do you have any idea what the parties themselves actually do?
kevincahoon @ Aug 31st 2008 1:25PM
You could have been helping children in Africa instead of posting your idiotic post. Hypocrite.
Miguel @ Aug 30th 2008 8:06PM
Cool, but hopefully they don't overdo it and turn it into a joke like the DNC's event was.
Asterra @ Aug 30th 2008 10:55PM
Heh. They don't need to turn it into a joke. McCain revealed the punchline already. You know, the punchline to the one about the person most suitable to be second in command.
JimC @ Aug 31st 2008 1:11AM
That's nothing. The Democrats have a better joke, actually thinking attacking Palin as inexperienced is a "good" move when Barry, the top of the Dem ticket, has less experience than she does and everyone knows it. Too funny.
acidrock @ Sep 1st 2008 4:20PM
Yes, because being governor less than 2 years to a state with 683,000 people, 400,000 less than our smallest state RH means you have more experience. Oh forgot she was a mayor too, 2 terms of a ton with less than 6,000 people and she was almost recalled due to her firing an officer because he was in a divorce dispute with her sister. Sure, that outweighs obama's 11 years as state and federal senator. I'm loving the hypocrisy of neocons, this lady has less experience than obama but they twist it to brainwash the brain dead. If McCain dies we have this woman with zero foreign policy experience compared to obama's arguably minimal experience.... but they wanted a woman to pander to hillary supporters, bravo! hahaha
oh and....

Her 17yo daughter is pregnant and they're making her marry the father. LOL
Her pro-abstinence stance works! haaahaha yes there's jokes man but try looking at the Republican ticket. XD
