does anybody know how many dimmable regions this TV (or samsung's new model) will have?Samsung's old model only had 70 individual regions...Brightside's original prototype had 1400 I think. On a big screen, it doesn't seem like 70 regions would be enough in some circumstances...
found my own answer:http://www.productwiki.com/samsung-9-series/The new 9-series uses 276 individually dimmable regions. The original 8-series is said to have had "less than 100" -- it's actually 70, IIRC.For comparison, I believe that Brightside's original HDR monitor used around 1400 regions on a 40" screen...
