Don't let Vizio off the hook like that. Or anybody else for that matter.  A grand is not chump change, unless we allow it to considered so.  Any company that takes the time and effort to bring a product like a plasma TV to market in todays atmosphere of  more enlightened electronic awareness (hopefully) should be castigated by their shareholders. Where do you get the $999 price? I have a 42" Vizio (last version) plasma for my casual TV watching (OTA only) needs and it looks great.  Of course, I have properly calibrated the machine.  <br><br>Actually watching golf on it is better than on my brother's 46" Sony Bravia LCD as his exhibits ghosting and plasma (of course) does not. If you want critical viewing technology then start with a controlled viewing environment first.<br><br>Even a $5,000 KURO isn't going to present a picture for movies with a lot of dark scenes when operating in a room with light.
