Some four months after
The Price is Right made the leap to high-definition
on Friday nights, the daytime variant of the famed game show has now followed suit. During today's first pricing game, host Drew Carey proudly proclaimed that the show was now airing in HD during the day, after which kids home from school and grandparents with TVs from 1982 celebrated and did nothing, respectively.

They're just taping in HD; the show is being broadcast in SD for the rest of the season.

The Price Is Right has a Friday night edition? I guess we learn something new everyday. What kind of loser sits home and watches The Price Is Right on a Friday night? I'd rather watch paint dry.

Drew Carey is great on the Price is Right. Also the Scott, the friday night edition is a million dollar edition. They give away cameros and escalades. It isn't the same old show for your grandparents in primetime.

Honestly, you don't want to see Bob in HD, which was probably part of the reason it took so long for the show to switch (the studio has been capable for a while now). Just watching his last week on DVD (direct from film) is bad enough.
