Eddie Murphy movies used to be good....then, a few years ago, the main "draw" of all his films seemed to become "Eddie Murphy in elaborate make-up/costumes portraying 38 different characters....mostly fat ladies, old ladies, and nerds."

Everybody's tastes are different, but I'll never understand how that sort of thing even qualifies as a movie.

Martin Lawrence's recent career seems pretty similar, though his name was never as big as Eddie Murphy's. But Martin's movies seem to be all costumes and corniness, and the previews are enough to drive me from every seeing them. Who are these films even marketed for?
