You are correct. I am doing fairly well financially yet I have not purchased a Blu-ray disc in over two months. I am currently working very hard to pay off all of my debt so that in case of a worsening financial crisis here in the states I will be in a better position to weather it. Most of the people I know are in a similar situation.
The few people I know that are still purchasing movies are buying either used movies or are buying bargain bin movies. Neither of these markets are conducive for blu-ray at the moment. Further, the used movies will never show up on a sales chart like this one.
