I think it's important to keep in mind just because DiVX 7 will support mkv, that doesn't mean anything to legacy DiVX certified devices. The hardware has been created, so it's rather unlikely that any current DiVX certified hardware devicve that doesn't now support mkv will ever support mkv.

mkv support is not official, but people have been playing mkvs on these boxes for quite awhile now
