I had no big issue with the Onkyo lip synch, but this is probably a function of the TV, the actual setup (HDMI? Component? Optical?), and the source material.

However, the Onkyo may be more picky than most as far as interoperability. Clearly had a problem with broken packets in DirecTV's Dolby Digital where the Denon did not.
