I have been waiting on DTV for long enough. If it gets confirmed that I have to wait until 2010 for Windows 7 then I'm ditching Vista Media Center and moving to SageTV.
Jerry, I'm with you. I'm a long time SageTV user (still am). However, I've been curious about the Microsoft Media Center options. XBox360 media extender and some Home Theater PCs now shipping with cablecard almost made me switch to Microsoft's Media Center.
After reading the limitations of Media Center, there's no way I'm switching. SageTV can be a pain to setup for some complex situations, but it supports H246 playback. Right now I have 2 SageTV computers. Each has their own TimeWarner set-top box (STB). The STB is connected to the SageTV computers with a firewire cable. Direct MPEG transport stream recordings/viewing. You can even get the Hauppauge HD PVR and record H264 streams to your SageTV box.
I'll shuddup now before I sound like a SageTV plug.

You could get DTV in XP MCE, Vista just let you have it without have to install an NTSC tuner also.
