Let me know when they have a quadHD set that is big enough to cover my *entire* bathroom ceiling.
I am certainly not going to tile 4 of these little 108 inchers and ruin the aesthetics of my bathing room -- nobody wants bezels criss-crossing the ceiling-TV above their jacuzzi tub.
Anything less than a 216" quadHD set is undersized trash that should be marketed to poor people who don't know better.

For that much money, I will get a really bright projector, all my mid-high end components, build a home theater room in the basement with no holds barred and have nice seating too.

It has the exact same specs as my 52" 92U. Will it have the same problem with backlight evenness?
At least they're honest about the contrast ratio and don't go to "dynamic contrast".

HA! for the much, I could buy a projector and build an extension onto my house for a home theater with theater seating, custom lighting, and most importantly speakers that damage the foundation of the house.
Why in god's name would you spend that much money on a TV?

or you can build your own home theater for about the same price. Heck you can have someone build it for your and install all the equipment for $100,000. And we are talking really highend equipment and furniture included. Now beat that Sharp!
