Singulus may not be a research firm, but at least their statements are based on an actual fact (number of Blu-ray replication orders) and not speculation/polls about future intent. That's pretty refreshing, actually. I'm pretty sick of all the speculation.
Most likely part of the increase they're seeing is due to the fact that Sony is pretty well tied up replicating PS3 game discs and doesn't have much extra capacity for movie production. This means the load is falling to other replication facilities, who are scrambling to bring BD manufacturing capacity online, and hence buying a lot of Singulus machines.
In any case, it's great to hear that the Blu-ray format is obviously growing in demand, regardless of what some people would maintain.
