Comcast taking Science / Disney / ABC Family HD to Salt Lake City
Alright Comcast, we've given you quite a few passes, but we're officially no longer pleased with hearing that these three channels (and these three alone) are showing up in various regions around the US. According to a tipster parked in Salt Lake City, the carrier is gearing up to launch Disney HD, Science HD and ABC Family HD in Utah's capital, though it seems to have no plans to add 'em alongside any other remotely interesting (or uninteresting, for that matter) high-def stations. Reportedly, the "new" trio will go live on or around July 1st, but chances are high that some other Comcast spot(s) in America will already be enjoying these very networks before then.[Thanks, Patrick]

I just noticed that they added a few more HD channels here in the Twin Cities, those are there for sure, but their seemed like there was more... but I could be wrong.

Comcast added these three to my system in Central NJ. I was very disappointed after a very long wait. The only thing on Family HD in actual HD is the 700 Club.. yep.. that's exactly what I wanted to watch.. bigotry in HD... Science Channel in HD is cool.. but slightly boring. And Disney in HD is also cool.. if you have kids.
I'm still waiting for the big ones... USA HD, Bravo, Sci-Fi... meanwhile, my neighbor with Direct TV is making seriously consider...

SLC has such great antenna reception, does anyone around here still get cable?

I use OTA for all my locals here, but Battlestar Galactica isn't on Fox. ;)
For me the only one I'm interested in is the Science channel. I'd still love to see them get more available here. It seems like SLC is always the last to get new products.

Ya I use comcast in SLC. I actually love it. Granted I use it with my media center. Now that I don't have to use their horrid DVR's any more comcast rocks.
As far as HD 99 percent of everything I watch is already HD here.
The only things I am waiting for are USA and hallmark I admit I like "Waler Texas Ranger" LOL(It use to be HD here then got removed for some reason)

Atlanta has had these channels for months.

Just wish Comcast would add HD channels in Santa Fe. Still waiting for CNN HD and Science HD.

Well, I'm most likely getting Comcast once I return from Iraq and seeing that it's coming from that area, I hope they have a few more channels before September.
