Comcast adds Family Channel HD / Disney HD in Minneapolis, MN
We know, it's a shocker of epic proportions, but Comcast has expanded two of its three favorite newcomers to yet another city. This time, we're talking Minneapolis, Minnesota, which has just received Family Channel HD and Disney HD. Interestingly, our local tipster didn't seem to notice Science HD, but considering that this area was already gifted with 11 new high-def stations last December, we suppose there's not too much room to complain -- for another month or so.[Thanks, Matt]

Um, dumps? Wouldn't that mean they got rid of it?

That's how I read it - they got rid of two HD channels.

So now 'dump'ing is a good thing?
You crazy kids...what'll you think of next!

I too read it that way and was thinking.. we didn't have those channels in the first place. Whats with this using negative words for positive changes? That's totally bad yo.
I'm in Bloomington Mn (considered part of Minneapolis). I already have Science Channel HD. We ended up getting 12 new HD channels in the December update.
I'm just worried about how much more compression this is going to add to our channels. I've gone back to watching BSG on standard def cause the hi def stream looks the same.

Dumps? Ok............................

Its Craptastic! Ooops I meant Comtastic! The only channel of the three new ones that shows HD content is the Science Channel. Besides do we really need to see Hannah Montana in HD?

It appears that it has been fixed here. My igoogle page still says dumped. I was hoping that it meant they had chosen to dump those two station as they are a complete waste of bandwidth. ABC Family has some great movies, but instead of showing them in their 16:9 format, they are broadcast in 4:3. I think I have actually seen one show on this channel that used the 16:9 format. What a waste! Please DO DUMP these channels Comcast!

I don't think I've EVER seen anything on Disney HD that's actually IN HD.
