Pushing Daisies: Season 1 arriving on Blu-ray in September
Generally speaking, we wouldn't make special note of a television series hitting the big BD, but we have a sneaking suspicion that Pushing Daisies will be a sure bet when looking to show off your setup. The complete first season -- which is only nine episodes long -- will make its HDM debut on September 16th, and for those still spinnin' DVDs, it'll also be available on that format. Best of all, the MSRP for the complete set is just $39.99 (Blu-ray) / $29.98 (DVD), and you can probably count on street prices being substantially lower at launch. Eye-candy lovers, mark this one down.

Have you guys even reported on the new and improved version of Transformers that will be released on Bluray?
I know you had a post about a rumor of it a few day ago. But now that its confirmed and all the specs/extras have been released I would have thought you'd report on it.
Oh well...

Sweet. This was my second favorite new show last season, right behind Sarah Conner Chronicles. And they're both coming on Blu-ray.

Didn't Sarah Conner Chronicles die prematurely because it... um, sucked? Or did they actually manage to finish off the season with dignity? :)

Are you serious? Pushing Daises was great but SCC was awful. And yes I suffered through the whole season hoping for an improvement.

SCC will still be on. It had a strike-shortned season, just like Pushing Daisies did. I liked it. So what. I probably hate your favorite show. So there...

I have all but 2 of the episodes burned in HD-DVD format. For $40, I'll buy the seris in BD.

I love this show, and it looked spectacular in high def. I would expect it to be even better on BD. Any word on extras???

Between this, Heroes, and the recently announced Firefly BD, my wallet's going to be hurting. But its nice to see the studios get serious about TV on BD.

I'd rather have root canal then by this on any format!

Before the strike, Pushing Daisies and Chuck were on the regular HD schedule line-up. I gathered both DOA post-strike. Also watched the Bionic Women, but that got a little old.
