Nfinity, how do you do it buddy? Now you're answering to your own comments too. Although sometimes you do bring some valid points, most of the times your hateful comments towards Blu-ray, and those who support it, go into the deranged. I agree that Blu-ray has a lot of competition against its full adoption; from high-priced players to downloads, and a horrible economy. And yes, I think HD-DVD had some benefits that Blu-ray still hasn't met yet as well. But, the fact of the matter is that either you buy into Blu-ray or you don't. But, you just don't stop. It seems like you don't know when to stop. We know you hate Blu-ray. That's a given. And your comments have become an annoying joke as well. I thinks it's great that we're free to debate. But, you're comments are always the expected kind.
Yep.. and they will remain like that until demise of Blu-Ray as I hate when we are forced to accept something that was criminally enforced through payoffs and retail blackmailing.
Btw, I posted under my initial response since the site has no edit feature.
The point is that Blu-Ray has zero chance. As we can already see, HD digital downloads are already here.. it will take them this year and next year to really go mainstream as they are significantly cheaper then Blu-Ray to begin with. Most people already have broadband in the States these days (at least). And we the studies are correct it seems that the rest of the world is even better.
I can't stress enough how much I love digital downloads. There's nothing nice then sitting back in the couch and having all that HD content at the touch of your fingertip. As I said optical media is dead in general. I would've prefered HD DVD to replace DVD simply because it was cheap, used same methods of replication but gave significantly better quality. Essentially if it wasn't for Blu-Ray crap, we would've already had HD mainstream as Blu-Ray was the one late to the party to mess things up, not the other way around.
If you are fine to accept Blu-Ray that's your choice really. I simply don't want ANYTHING from Sony and the gangsters with their incomplete shit standard. I'm so glad they are gonna croak for the billions they paid off, because it's already clear that we have very stiff competition among HD downloads. Netflix, Apple TV, Xbox Live, Vudu etc and all the competition is actually making mainstream happen faster.. it's overwhelming happiness really.and nothing would make me happier if I witnessed them totally losing on PS3 and eventually discontinue it and totally screw over all the fanboys who have been bending over and sucking Sony off every moment of their existence.
What's going to be a total irony in all of it, when Sony dumps Blu-Ray and goes digital downloads too. It's gonna be just one more great kick in the balls to the faithful followers of the Sony sect. But hey, I'm sure that when that happens, all the Blu zealots will be saying how digital downloads are ok then because Sony does it. LOL.. it will be hypocrisy at it's finest but quite predictable as we've already seen this happen before.
