Popcorn Hour's A-100 HD media streamer publicly available for pre-order
What do you know? Yet another outlet for you to happily blow $179. As of today, Popcorn Hour's heralded A-100 HD media streamer is finally available for the public at large to pre-order. Previously, folks had to actually sign a list just to be blessed with the privilege of placing an order, but now it seems supply is at long last flowing in nicely. The company has even set up a forum to keep customers informed of order status, but we wouldn't dillydally around -- these are still being sold on a first come, first served basis.

Plays back dvd TS folders or ISO perfect With Menus Etc... .. Will even play back Backed up blurays perfect in M2TS form .. not quite ready for Bluray .ISO yet (or ever?) .. But you can use Anydvd to get the main M2TS file and play back Bluray .. They update the firmware about once a month to always update it .. Hey they should pay me for this damn advertisement .. In the US there is tax in CA and shipping costs $15. Payment is made through Google Checkout.
I ordered mine on April 21, 2008, credit card was charged three days later, and as of May 1, no status change. This is standard for this company and I don't doubt they will deliver -- just showing that only order if you are willing to wait a number of weeks.

Windows Media Center deja-vu. I understand there are only so many menu layouts but come on, did they have to do the exact same "Start" in the exact same location?
