How much does it cost compared to the Panasonic in the article?? THREE TIMES the COST. I doubt if the PQ & technology is 2x better, even considering the larger size.


My folks have a Panasonic plasma, fabulous picture all the time! My two Kuro's have even better blacks, their top PQ is common knowledge. I sold my initial LCD from Sony in January, the uneven PQ, motion lag and bad view angels become annoying after the initial WOW factor of a new HD LCD. Compared to my parents plasma, I wasn't happy and its why I eventually went with the Kuro's.

So many LCD owners have buyers remorse from continually reading that the expert reviewers STILL rank plasma #1 over the best LCD's, and often for less money. My 50" Kuro 5080 was $1000 less than Gallo's XBR5 52".

Give Sony credit for marketing though..... LCD outsells plasma by 5,6,7 to 1 ?? Pity the naive buyers.
