While I'm not at liberty to speak of managements decisions, I will say that it's been a bit of an uphill battle to foresee all the obstacles a new network faces.
A lot of people don't realize the pieces it takes to put a successful network together and while it's very easy to criticize, a lot of planning needs to go into everything we do. A lot of it is just a learning process. Anyone you speak to who helped start ESPN can tell you the same thing. ESPN is a force almost 30 years in the making. Their switch to digital was likely much easier being it was a network well established once it decided to do so.
Right now our main priorities are settling our distribution deals, making sure that every cable carrier carries our network which as many of you have been following, have not exactly been favoring the NFL Network. But if you are a fan of the network, take comfort in knowing that everything is being done to settle this as quickly as possible and that the right people are now in place to make this happen. Many of which are former executives from ESPN and who have helped make that network the success that it is.
