Thanks to a little
TWC slippage, we already knew good and well that Fox News HD was on the way, but now it seems that the channel will be launching in more places than just Brooklyn and Queens. Starting on May 1st, Time Warner Cable subscribers in "select areas" will be graced with the station, and
not surprisingly, the metro New York systems will be the first to pick it up. We're also told that agreements are in place to bring Fox News HD to
San Antonio, but it seems that other cities (and those on other carriers) will be forced to wait for an indefinite amount of time. [

Wow thanks TW. Just what we need in SA, more lying.
Apparently, our local pols don't lie enough...even though we've got a Councilman who lied about having a degree. The story broke before the election, but the suckers here still voted for him.

I have been waiting so long for you, Fox News HD! I can't wait! Hopefully it trickles up to Austin from San Antonio quickly. Fox News and Comedy Central are my last two big hold outs. I am so excited!!

And they called QVC hd a waste of bandwidth.

I for one don't understand the whole trickle method of deployment for HD channels these days? No matter what the channel is, why do they fail to understand market penetration? I'm not a big Fox News fan, but why such a pathetic launch? It's not like the infrastructure for HD is "in development" or anything.

Gimee my directv FNC HD feed. Fox Business HD looks fantastic.

San Antonio also TWC also panned out Biography HD (175) in wonderful stretch-o-vision. It looks like they only have a handful of shows in HD. On top of that it doesn't look like they've optimized it fully... very blocky and just drops out completely at times.
FoxHD looks fine.
And still no SciFi HD :/

Nice, I hope that unlike CNN they actually upgrade their cameras in the field.
