Cox brings another handful of HD channels to Oklahoma
Just two months after Oklahoma City and Tulsa received a new trio of high-def channels from Cox Communications, a new six-pack has found its way onto the on-deck circle. Based on an updated HD channel lineup for both of the aforementioned cities, residents can expect Sci-Fi HD (752), Lifetime HD (759), Bravo HD (763), CNBC (784), Weather Channel HD (785) and USA HD (732) to arrive in short order. Sadly, we're not sure exactly what day to expect the new half dozen, but hopefully "Coming Soon" is just hours (rather than days, weeks or months) away.

Hot damn! It's about time. I'm going to have to find the first 3 episodes of BSG in HD, if they'll be kind enough to replay them.
Anyone know, or have links to, the amount of stretch-o-vision on those channels? I love how HGTV and Food Network have HD channels, but almost no actual HD. Anyway....

I'm sure Hampton Roads will be one of the last to get SciFi, I told myself I would not be getting their HD service until they do so. Rockin the analog/no box with them for now, OTA for digital.
Not looking forward to my bill going up, but BSG is calling, and they best hurry on up. I might just go down and get a box today, but I'll wait for further confirmation. Avsforum, eat my F5 key.

Now if they could be so kind as to extend the same channels to the Arizona service, that'd be great...
Still waiting on SciFi HD and USA HD...
Darn it I want to see BSG in HD :/

Here in Topeka we're still waiting for the 6 or 7 HD channels the rest of Kansas got. I've complained and complained and complained and they just keep telling me they have to sign agreements, blah, blah. I don't know why they wouldn't sign an agreement for one of the bigger cities in Kansas. Even a city of a couple hundred have the new HD channels. We're still missing NFL, Travel (which COX OWNS), Cinemax (especially since we pay for it already), Science, Animal Planet. Ugh. I'd love to get the channels OK is getting. I've been begging for The Weather Channel HD for months now.

On the heals of the San Diego Sci-Fi HD announcement, I wonder if Engadget can do some research and find out if Cox corporate has struck a deal with NBC Universal (which would suggest eventual roll out across all affiliates; I'm particularly curious about Cox New England as a RI resident) or whether this is just individual Cox franchises / affiliates forming agreements.

Cox's is making my decision to cancel a bit harder to do. Sci-fi and U.S.A. in HD will both be nice IMO! I wonder when they'll flip the switch?
