Verizon's FiOS TV headed to Orchard Park, NY
We have absolutely no qualms with lots of New York locales getting access to FiOS TV, but Verizon sure has been shunning the rest of the country here of late while giving even more Empire State dwellers something to cheer about. Next in line is Orchard Park, which marks the second locale in Western New York (and in Erie County) to get gifted with FiOS TV in the last week. Of course, the New York State Public Service Commission still has to give the final (and all-important) thumbs-up, but we'd wager that residents of the area can look forward to another choice in providers within just a few months.

My only complaint is that they have it in Buffalo, Syracuse, and lots of other spots in NY. But lowly Rochester will never see it. and I mean NEVER. Due to the Open Market Agreement/legislation that Frontier Telephone got passed back in the day of Rochester Tel so they could "compete" with bigger companies. Whatever the hell it is, it is old, outdated, but seems to keep getting RENEWED.

They don't actually have it in Buffalo, just the suburbs. They won't have it in the city for years according to Verizon.

Are you talking about TV or internet? I live in the Syracuse area and we only have FiOS internet.

Jilaman we as Rochesterians need to start hammering whomever we need to get FiOS here. We need more choices and competition here in Rochester. It's ridiculous!
