Apart from the entertaining read, thanks for having the fortitude to refuse "settlements" and go for the throat. Settling just screws the next guy down the line while fighting the bastards and beating them, as you well know, provides further ammunition for others to prevent the same tactics from being applied to them.

I'll admit that I never tried your cables, but I've heard they are high quality. I would try your analog cables, but for digital I just go generic because it's all the same quality for short runs. I wish you luck with this whole mess. Hopefully it'll teach Monster not only to stop going after companies with frivolous lawsuits, but also teach them that their product is no where near being worth what they charge.

The difference is that Blu Jeans does not misrepresent the cables- if you call them and ask what HDMI cable to buy for a 3 foot run, they will tell you to buy the cheapest one, because the picture quality is the same.
If you don't respond to the demand of your customer base, then you lose customers to other businesses who are willing to fill their demand. For instance- there are many cable customers out there who insist that an HDMI cable carry official category 2 certification (a process that costs upwards of $60,000) whether it means anything in regards to the cable's performance. There are customers who are very particular about wire gauge, customers who are particular about materials (silver, teflon, etc.), and other considerations. I'm not saying I agree with them, but to not respond to their demand would be to limit the growth of the company, which is not the point of doing business.]]>Apr 19th 2008 7:03PM
