AT&T enables Flickr photo viewing on U-verse TV
As carriers (and STB manufacturers) continue to implement new and varied extras to make their service just different enough to reel you in, AT&T's making sure it doesn't get caught stale by enabling its users to view Flickr images from the comfort of their couch. AT&T Online Photos, as it's so eloquently dubbed, is an integrated photos channel that allows users to access their own account and watch slideshows by simply flipping to channel 91 or navigating through the U-verse TV menu. Hey, U-verse subscribers -- why not give this a go and see if it's more useful than gimmicky (or vice-versa)? One more look after the jump.

As far as I can tell so far, your flickr account has to be affiliated with your att.net login. Since my flickr is under a different Yahoo! ID, I don't think I'll be able to access it via the u-verse box.
I'll let you know if I figure anything out.

log into your flickr account then click on your name in the upper right. Next click on "Use a different Yahoo ID for this flickr account" and follow the steps to input your @att.net email address with your existing flickr account. This will also give you flickr pro for free

Worked like a charm. Thanks!

I just tried it, they must be pulling the images from the medium resolution then doing an additional aggressive jpeg compressing on them.
On my HD set they look quite bad compared to seeing them on a PC directly from flickr

Well personally, I like it. Very useful for showing the in-laws new photo's of their grandson. Not perfect quality and a fraction slow but still plenty good enough for me. Nice new feature.

I have to agree with Simon. I, also, personally like it. Despite the slow load time, this feature makes it easy to show the in-laws/guests of all your photos on a 60" hdtv rather than crowding around a 15" laptop screen. =)

I have tried the mentioned process to get my photos on channel 91, but I must not be doing something right. I clicked on the use a different account and I get a get sign in with an existing Yahoo account and below that create a new id. Then I try to use my att address and it says not a yahoo address. I need help with this fiasco.
