I just don't get why anyone would spend that kind of money on the Denon without it being a full profile player, and why Denon did not allow for it to be upgradable via a firmware update for 2.0.
Maybe it can't be upgraded by a simple firmware cause it doesn't have an Ethernet port and 1GB of local storage, as both are mandatory for profile 2.0.
Profile 2.0 is not mandatory. I expect Denon will produce 1.1 and 2.0 profiles and you can pick which is best for you. I suspect many people wouldn't see the point of trailing ethernet cable across to their TV just to download some trailers and other things.
