Trinitron was amazing for its time with analogue service only, then 768p LCD RPTVs came on board with SXRD later to replace these as the "Trinitron of the 21st Century", yeah Sony, what happened? What was it...3 years to nothing? Now all you get from Sony are 52" Bravia LCD panels, but the 60" and 70" size HDTVs are completely missing, nothing to replace them...what a stupid "marketing model", IMO. Does Sony really think 52" sizes are going to "do it" for them, honestly? I don't believe it.
Sony has all sorts of big tv's.^^^ For even bigger than 70" they have projectors.
No one wants rptvs except the budget market. The sxrd sets are nice but, are like 3 chip dlp sets. They are cheap for the screen size; cost too much for the budget market and are too thick for the status buyers.
