damn... well, half of that goes to that 103 inch Panasonic plasma... $15k goes to speakers and $15k in equipment (including Playstation 3 and my Xbox360) and cables... yeah, that sounds good...
In the world of home theater, nobody uses flat panel/RP TV's. Its all front projection. Those giant plasmas are for people with more money then brains/class.
in the world of home theater, my dumb friend, it's all about watching a good picture and listening to a good sound. If I'm gonna spend $30k in a tv or projector, might as well buy something I can see in daylight, too.
I ain't buying stuff just because in the world of home theater people buy it. That's just stupid and brainless. I don't follow trends, I do research and buy what I need.
If your going to recommend and rant about a product, at least know the PRICE!! The cost of the 103" Plasma is $70K more than the entire $60K budget, not $15K like you imply!! Front PJ like the other poster said...

If you're spending $30k on a tv or projector, I'm /pretty/ sure you're going to be able to afford a separate room to put it in. Light will not be an issue.
And as everyone else has said, a gigantic plasma/LCD is just silly... it's a home theater, not a home stadium. You're not looking to buy a jumbotron here. You'll get a way better piece of equipment for $30k if you buy a projector than a TV.
