If you're spending $30k on a tv or projector, I'm /pretty/ sure you're going to be able to afford a separate room to put it in. Light will not be an issue.

And as everyone else has said, a gigantic plasma/LCD is just silly... it's a home theater, not a home stadium. You're not looking to buy a jumbotron here. Also-- ideally one sub per speaker? 2k projector resolution minimum? In the comments for the original article, someone mentioned this was overkill even for the audio mixing studios that MAKE the movies.

Apparently, the original 8 subs sounded "really good" but didn't deliver what he wanted, so he upped it to 16 subs.
