Well, not everyone in OC is rich, and it could be argued anyone clamoring for more HD channels probably leans more toward "prosperous" than "destitute". (For a fun experiment, combine those two words!)

That said, of that list, only NHL HD and Travel HD are new. The rest have been in Cox's OC lineup for a couple of months now.

(I rent, and I'm leaving, as it's just too damned expensive, so don't give me any of that "Richie-rich" crap :P )

HedonismBot

Comments on Cox bringing 8 new HD channels to Orange County / Palos Verdes, California

It would be nice if they'd add the HD versions of some cable channels I actually watch somewhat regularly (FX, Sci-Fi, USA) and stop with the channels I watch maybe once a year.

@hedonism, the add-ons of HBO, Sho, Cin & Starz are supposedly east coast feeds, which we don't have now. What's kind of unsettling is that every time I see a "Cox is adding new channels in [Timbuktu]" post, I check to see what they're getting, but it's all the same stuff, just in a different city. I hope Sci-fi, FX, and USA will be rolled out to SOMEONE in Cox's network sooner rather than later. At least then I'd have some hope that it will be coming our way too.

Mr. E

Comments on Cox bringing 8 new HD channels to Orange County / Palos Verdes, California

I wonder if SciFi channel is even available in HD

Mike

Comments on Cox bringing 8 new HD channels to Orange County / Palos Verdes, California

There are more than 8 new HD channels coming to OC and PV in the next month...

The new freebies for people with HD service
1.
