DISH Network's spring HD rollout still on track
Surely by now you've heard about DISH Network's satellite launch issues, but don't worry, the channels planned to roll out over the next few months are still on track. Thanks to the Satelliteguys.us, we've got a list of markets still getting local HD in April and May, while the rest of the planned 100 HD channels / 100 markets strategy should be taken care of by the end of the year, thanks to the remaining two satellites still going up this year. Exactly who is -- and will be -- the "top HD provider" is still murky as ever, but despite recent SEC filings, don't count DISH out just yet.[Thanks, Scott]

Disappointed to see a slew of locals and no schedule for the release of the nationals. I guess I'm strange but I don't watch locals.

At least they did list possible nationals:

cant wait to see more HD channels as you keep promising us to get. Hope Milwuakee,Wisc will be some of them soon. Waiting fo SCI-FI HD USA HD & other HDs as promised very soon.

I'm still waiting on the new DTV bird... hopefully get the Des Moines area HD locals and get a few more national channels!

I wish Comcast would get their acts together for HD content. They are waaay behind on HD channels and with the Satellite providers getting 100 channels this year I anticipate they will lose a lot of customers, more than just me. Channels like Speed TV look pretty poor on Comcast cable now, while it's already on HD with DirecTV and Dish.

I guess Flint, Michigan has a better ROI on HD local investment than Las Vegas, NV. psha.
