Your "far superior PQ" claim is quite dubious. FP is nice, I have one, but I don't think it's image is necessarily as versatile as a plasma's. Your "close the drapes" comment even suggests this. A plasma can run brighter and it's an emissive rather than reflective technology, so the dark parts of the image can't be so easily washed out by incident light.
