They see a market for HDDVD owners that want to move to Blu-ray but still wants to view their HDDVD library with one player. Samsung has bowed out of that market leaving LG. So their faithfulness is only $$$ deep. I think after about a month or so, it will be all Blu releases, just to get the HD DVD's out of there system and make a little money out of the deal. No reason to think they won't do the same this time. If he gets tossed out soon you know he screwed up. If he stays you can infer Universal may have done exceedingly well out of their dalliance with HD DVD. If Toshiba or Microsoft tossed a bunch of money at them, the chances are they made more than they would have selling Blu Ray discs. I disagree. If HD-DVD won, you would not have made the exact comments but the reality is, either format winning still has the greater battle to fight which is aginst DVD. Through all the ranting and raving and trying to prove everyone wrong, it seems everything you said went the opposite way.
