Unfortunately - the vast majority of consumers.

As someone who sells these things, if a product can differentiate itself in some noticeable way (Pioneer Kuro blacks, Panasonic 77 series anti-glare screen, Samsung 81 series LED backlighting, etc.) - it will help sales.

Building a 6" recess in the wall beats ANY thin TV.
