To be fair, you could get the A30 player on Amazon which has 1080p for $150 and 7 movies. At least you'd have a pretty reasonable upscaling DVD player if nothing else at the end of it.
That's clearly a firesale price. The format is dead and it wouldn't surprise me if Toshiba is just using Amazon to clear its supply chain before saying as much.
