I know this has probably been covered, by is there a change to the cable box as well? Or do they just update your current box?

Tivo is available through Comcast in my area (I am also a New Englander). I have been kind of on the fence about it though because my Comcast bill is SO huge. I am hesitant to pile anything else on top of it.

I just talked to the Comcast people and the boxes that you have are likely good to go (if you have an HD/DVR box currently). It's a $2.95 per month fee that covers every box in the house.
