WWE in HD gets official, carnage begins next week
Just in case things weren't official enough for you, WWE has gone the extra mile and boasted about WWE in HD via an on-air spot. Starting a week from today (January 21st for those taking notes), Monday Night RAW will be broadcast in high-definition for the first time on USA HD. The very next night, ECW will air in HD on Sci-Fi HD, and if you're still itching for more, you can catch the first HD showing of Smackdown on The CW HD on January 25th. Oh yeah, and then there's that little Royal Rumble thing going down on the 27th -- we're hearing that will be available in crystal clear HD, too (albeit for $10 more than the SD version). Hit the read link for a look at the promotional ad, and feel free to dig up your stash of bandannas and ripped-up shirts up from the bottom drawer -- next week's gonna be pretty intense.[Thanks, Dustin R.]

maybe this will force cablevision to pick up those channels.
i, for one could care less about wrestling, but if it gets me more HD channels, lets do it!

I agree about cablevision adding another few HD channels because of this, but is USA HD anytihng like TNT and TBS HD? I really wouldnt like the same thing to happen as it did with TBS HD and the MLB. We get the channel for one event, and nothing else is EVER shown in HD again.

If you could care less about wrestling? That means you care.

Good to see at least 1 scripted show is going strong!

That's good news for WWE fans...
...Too bad Comcast barely has crap for HD channels.
*sigh*

Maybe for your market.
I despise Comcast for their overpriced service among other things they do, but one thing they are doing right is HD Channels for the Chicago Market.
GhostDoggy @ Jan 14th 2008 5:52PM
My two local PBS stations have active HD channels that are broadcasting across Atlanta, but neither one is broadcasting HD content, and the SD content is pillar boxed on all four sides and mismatched black levels looking like light gray.
Yet, wrestling can be done in HD? How sad.

SO will the Score in Canada be broadcasting in HD?
They do have a HD channel on Bell.

Lucky all of you who have USAHD :( I hate TWC for their inability to add more HD chnnels to the Los Angeles area. I mean come on, we only have like 10 hd channels!!

This Sucks! I just spoke with Cablevision and they have no idea when they are going to add USA HD. I was so excited about RAW going HD and now It looks like We will have to wait.
