I've just got an HD DVD player right now, and mine is eerily similar. Been waiting months for HD DVD releases.Rigged high def war, or perhaps both hd and blu were charging them too much, hoping to spur sales instead of rentals?I'm leaning towards the latter, since neither side wants what most early adopters are doing, not buying movies and just renting them.
