Just a few weeks back, we were able to grab a sneak peek at
Resident Evil: Extinction's Bonus View
feature, and now
Blu-ray.com has yet another preview we figure the BD camp will be interested in seeing. Apparently, CyberLink was busy demonstrating its forthcoming
Profile 1.1-enabled PowerDVD 7 Ultra software at CES, which allowed
Sunshine to be played back "perfectly" with picture-in-picture enabled. Also, they were able to confirm that the aforementioned application will indeed play nice with DTS-HD tracks and that DTS-HD MA support was just around the bend. Reportedly, the update will be available gratis to current owners of PowerDVD Ultra next month.

So this will play nice with every BD title released to date I guess. got WinDVD running on my Vaio FZ and it will not play "LOST S3". Anyway I have a HDMI 1.3 AVR and my laptop has HDMI, but how can I check if I can use bitstream for audio DTS-MA.

Nice, but please add support to play MKV files too!

Nota: It is not the same company/product indeed, but both went through the same process of certification (with WinDVD), and here we go, we get the 1.1 product a month later.

Personally, I want to see better MCE integration.

same here. If I could get my HD DVDs and Blu-rays to play perfectly in Vista Media Center I would get rid of my standalones.

Is the profile 1.1 update available only to the purchased copies of Cyberlink's PowerDVD Ultra? I purchased an LG Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo drive and this software came with it. I can play nearly all Blu-Ray discs I've tried, but 3:10 to Yuma won't play, and I read it was because of the profile incompatibility. Also, Sunshine plays, but freezes at random spots through the film, just restarting the app solves this - but still annoying to stop and restart the app and movie.
There are no updates listed in PowerDVD when I run the upgrade/update utility. Do I have to get a purchase-version to get this update?
