For those who really want a nice head to head LCD vs. Plasma shootout, I just received my latest issue of Sound+Vision magazine yesterday and I would recommend the cover article. They compare what they consider to be the best examples of both formats, a Pioneer Kuro vs. a Samsung LCD. One guess which one won out...
I completely agree that both formats can and will survive for the indefinite future. And of course the point is that they both SHOULD survive. HD-DVD is no more dead than plasma is. The way I see it is that they have devoted supporters and Universal and Paramount should have the sense to realize that. At this point, I could care less about studios being format neutral, if Universal or Paramount continue to produce product, the consumers will continue to buy it, its really that simple.
