Analog inputs vs combo.  Chances are the winner will be the BD50, because of all the issues of the older gen 5000 people are reporting.<br><br>Although chances are I think I'll wait for a cheaper BD player with analog outputs and complete advanced audio codec decoding support.  No PS3 for me!]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[David S]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jan 13th 2008 9:05AM</pubDate></item><item><title><![CDATA[Comments on CES 2008: The best of Blu-ray players]]></title><link>http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/01/12/best-of-ces-2008-blu-ray-players/</link><guid isPermaLink="true">http://www.engadgethd.com/2008/01/12/best-of-ces-2008-blu-ray-players/</guid><description><![CDATA[There isn't one of them on the market that is a genuine profile 2.0 player and who knows when profile 2.0 discs will appear (it'll be a very long time if they stick to the sort of timetable profile 1.1 had).<br><br>After what the BDA said about the strong possibility of profile 1.0 & profile 1.1 owners having big problems with the final profile 2.0 spec discs (and that it was just tough, "they knew what they were getting into") why would anyone take the chance on buying anything Blu-ray that wasn't profile 2.0?<br><br>BTW good luck with those Daewoo's <br>(my pal - who works in one of their Irish factories - wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole, poor quality rubbish is his description for all their products)]]></description><dc:creator><![CDATA[Truth Teller]]></dc:creator><pubDate>Jan 13th 2008 11:20AM</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
