Raycom serving up select ACC men's basketball games in HD
For fans of the Atlantic Coast Conference, catching the ACC Tournament last year in high-definition was a treat. Thankfully, Raycom Sports will be blessing fans with more of the same this year, but it seems we won't have to wait until March to indulge. According to a sponsorship opportunity found on the company's website, four regular season matchups will be broadcast in HD along with every second of the 2008 ACC Tourney in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kicking things off on January 31st will be the Wolfpack from NC State taking on Duke in Cameron Indoor Stadium, while the Blue Devils head down to Chapel Hill on February 6th to tangle with the Tar Heels. On February 9th, NC State will meet up with Maryland and on February 12th, UNC will head to Virginia to play the Cavaliers. For a complete listing of regions where these games can be seen, check out the read link below.[Thanks, WallyB]

FSN has already been doing HD ACC games this season. It's great when the team's region isn't a FSN area and the games are shown on a Comcast channel that nobody has and the video looks worse than a low bitrate internet stream.

is Saturday's game in HD?
you know the BIG game between the tar heels and the Wolfpack?
Go Pack!

i thought this had more to do with the camera's inside the facility and not necessarily the network covering the games. i've noticed when games were covered on ESPN, FSN, etc, they just slap network bars on the side and the image is still SD.
Wally B and Korey, are you guys local to Raleigh? I'm ncsu class of '00 and I'm curious what method you use to watch local ACC in HD? i've got basic TW digital cable + standard HD pack.

NCSU class on '96. I live outside Charlotte, NC.
I watch games either via my Panasonic PT-AE900 projector (@112") & DirecTV HR20 or via my Samsung HP-T5044 (50") & DirecTV HR21.
We're having a game-viewing party at the house this weekend. 5 State grads & 3 UNC grads in the house. I've got my fingers crossed that it goes well, but I'm worried about it for sure.

I used to have a TWC Digital package, but as of Sunday I'm with Dish. This should look good on my Pio Plasma.

Go Pack!

Nice to see all the Wolfpack love!
Our boys aren't living up to the hype this year though, my expectations are pretty low for this Saturday's game.
NCSU alum here as well ;-)

Apparently someone needs to represent here for the nation's top team.
Go Heels!
