Laser huh? I can't wait to see the liability issues associated with this. Oh, overheating may be a real issue for a television for the first time since.....DLP. (Speechless)
What extra liability is there? I guess if you broke your TV open and let the lasers point into your eyes, you might have a problem if they were much more powerful than a laser pointer (I think standard laser pointers are limited to 5mW, which can't hurt your eyes before your blink reflex kicks in -- so, as long as you're not trying to stare at the beam, you should be fine).
Then again, I'd be willing to bet that if you busted open a regular rear-projection TV and put your eyes close enough to the light bulb, you could cause some damage that way too...
