Not even a month after Cox Communications blessed those in Northern Virginia with
11 new high-definition channels, the cable company is now giving NoVa residents even more HD options. Similar to the
rollout seen last summer in Southern California, Cox is giving customers in Fairfax County access to over 20 Starz! and Showtime on-demand flicks in HD. Interestingly, it's still a bit unclear whether any additional HD VOD content was added aside from films on those two channels, so for any Cox subscribers located in this here region, why not fire up your service and give us the skinny?

The COX HD VOD channel (ch 700) showed up long before the 11 new HD channels here in Fairfax.
Personally, I could care less about VOD because I use HD DVRs exclusively.

I believe the content on Ch.700 are purchase-only VOD-HD movies, not subscription based VOD service (ala Ch. 1).

In Phoenix, AZ we have crap for HD channels.
We still can't even get CNNHD, TBSHD or Food Network HD. I am so glad that they are rolling out VOD to another market, and have already given Southern California (which is right next door) more HD channels long ago, but can't turn on the switch for mediocre HD channels here in AZ. I hate Cox more and more as time goes on.

Most of TBS HD is stretch-o-vision anyway. You're not missing much.
Food HD is yummy though.

Well harma you sure as hell aren't missing much without TBS, Family Guy is about the only thing watchable on there. I'd love to see HD VOD expand a bit, I personally don't have Starz or Cinemax. Do you think it's costing COX too much to get HBO/Showtime on demand? At least it's a step in the right direction.
