Not sure who's fault it was, but with my Comcast past experiences, its easy to blame them. Also, we have received more information from news services than the companies as to what will change. I have even emailed them asking what is going on, and I doubt they know as I receive no responses. I am graciously giving Comcast about 1-2 months to impress me before I switch to DirecTV. BTW, Insight claimed that they would be adding more HD stations during summer '08.

Chris

Comments on Comcast and Insight complete midwest transition

I've been an Insight customer in Columbus and haven't had any problems with Insight. We just got a nice new chunk of HD channels added in December - let's hope they continue to add to that list. The best part about Insight in my opinion is their Internet Service. I get consistent 15Mbps download speeds. They've taken forever to add channels and just recently added about 5-6 or more to an already abysmal lineup. Since the Comcast take-over announcement last year, I've been eager for Comcast in hopes they would expand the HD offerings. My family, just 30 miles away, has Comcast and has about twice the amount of HD channels. Including WGNHD and Comcast Sports Net HD; a must for a Cubs fan. I'm hoping these will come in time for baseball season.

Matt

Comments on Comcast and Insight complete midwest transition

BTW, there's been no real "transition" from Insight to Comcast. Called Insight customer service now Comcast and asked about product information. Currently no channels have changed at all. I asked when the Comcast channels and product offerings would start. They gave me a date of January 24th. I am hopefull that my broadband speed will only get faster and we get more HD channels for about the same price. I have heard of big price increases with COMCAST. Currently with the old Insight Offering I get 9 HD channels including locals, DVR, and get at least 10MB internet for $99/month. Note I do not have premium channels. If you use the old Insight nomenclature I have the Digital 2.0.

picosauce

Comments on Comcast and Insight complete midwest transition

Do all Comcast customers get inDemand sports channels? Insight needs to gets it's act together. They only offer 10MB internet while comcast is giving 12MB-15MB with bursting up to 24MB. On top of that the HD is so limited. At least give me CNN-HD come on!
