I could see movie rental on demand take off some day but if I want to own a movie it will have to be bought at a store (or online) and can hold it.

I'm the same way. With torrents, I could download a whole mess of movies in 720p and it would look great on my HTPC hooked up to my Sony HDTV, but I'd rather buy the must haves that I want and download the ones that I would want to watch, but don't really wanna pay for.
