Of course, the HDTVs in question will not have any actual high definition CONTENT to show. Instead, we'll just be given standard def, 4:3 content that is S-T-R-E-T-C-H-E-D to avoid pillarboxing and complaints from the vast hordes of morons who in blissful ignorance, smugly believe that distorted, butt-ugly Stretch-o-vision equals HD and erupt in rage if given content meant for 4:3 TVs in 4:3.
*sigh* thats what i was thinking. I had christmas over at a friend's place, and they're still watching standard def on their hdtv. Every time i see it i mention it to them... and they say its "too expensive" to buy the hd-dvr and service or highdef media, and they're happy with it.
Am i friends with... joe six pack?? lol They make more money than I do, but they DO have kids....
