Samsung to show 31-inch OLED TV at CES?
It's not like we haven't been let down at CES before, so we're doing our best to contain our excitement on this one. Reportedly, Samsung is gearing up to showcase a 31-inch OLED TV at CES next month, which would trump Sony's 11-incher and even Toshiba's now-delayed 30-incher by some margin. A company spokesperson even stated that it was "considering exhibiting a 40-inch OLED TV," but decided against it presumably due to the exorbitantly high price tag that would've been shown along with it. In case a single 31-inch version isn't enough to meet your sky high expectations, the outfit is also hoping to have a 14-inch iteration set up for viewing, but as always, we'll believe it when we see it.[Via Telecoms Korea]

More interesting to know, is when will these go into production? I'm very interested in OLED technology though, I think it'll be my next HDTV. Or at least, my next next one.

If i didn't have think that a 52 in OLED TV would cost around 100,000 dollars i'd think i just wasted 2700 on my 52 in sony XBR5

Wasting $2700 on a 'TV' was your 1st mistake ... even for a SONY... You're eyes aren't THAT good. 8^(

I'm guessing that it will be at CES and there will be no price tag. If Toshiba can't manufacture them cheap enough, how long will it take Samsung to put one in stores? I was booked to check out the SED TV at CES2007 and look what happened with that. I'll believe it when I can walk out of Best Buy with one for under $10,000. Not my $10,000 of course...
