It's cool in theory, but TV on the PC is irrelevant until you can BYO CableCARD tuners.

I recently dumped my HTPC for a TivoHD because of the superior UI. I would have seriously considered this option had it been available.

I'm sure there will be some kind of monthly charge. It should supply the same features their current hardware does, wish lists, season passes, suggestions. At least they're not subsidizing their hardware. Cable cards will become more prevalent in pcs over the next couple of years. They are still in their infancy.
