Yes, burn in is still a problem, and as far as I know it will always be. Which is one of the reasons plasma is dying a slow death. In a few years when the heavy hitters put out their OLED's it's all but over.
Greyscale you are obviously an LCD fanboy. I am a cable installer, and I see TVs all day long. I have NEVER seen an LCD that can hold a candle to my Pioneer plasma.
