EZfetch Wireless HD Digital Media Player gets official
We certainly haven't been starved for media streamers of late, and if you reckoned the feature-packed EZfetch Wireless HD Digital Media Player would be priced right out of your league, guess again. This multifaceted unit, which appeared just days ago on the FCC's website, is now officially available to anyone interested -- and for $249, no less. Yep, for the price of a (likely sold-out) Wii, users can can pick up a snazzy streaming box that pulls in content from Nokia N-series mobiles, PCs, NAS drives and a slew of WiFi-enabled devices in order to light up your living room TV. Furthermore, the gizmo plays nice with more formats than you can shake a stick at, and it's shipping now to those who simply can't resist.

i think this is an interesting device as it is the only device which seems to stream ifo/vob files from a file server - simply - without hacking or transcoding or conversion of any type. it's really too bad the ps3 and/or xbox 360 does not do this. are there any other similar devices?

Who needs this when you own a PS3 that also acts as a wifi media streamer? In addition to 1080p games and 1080p/24 video output, TrueHD 7.1 decoding, future DTS-HD MA decoding, SACD playback, etc.,etc. The PS3 must be the greatest piece of CE hardware ever created or even conceived of.

This bad boy isn't really available yet,
in fact it may never be.
If you click the link on their site that says "Buy now - ships within 24 hours via Federal Express" it takes you to a page that says coming soon! Maybe they announce this to see if enough people would click by now and they should go ahead and send it to production.

Bump (even though it doesn't move the article)...
Think this announcement came seriously too early. Still not for sale yet. Too bad they dropped the ball, looks like their going to miss the greatest selling season. Wonder if it is coming at all?
Anyway to respond to the PS3 comment above--Its not like a PS3---I have a PS3---it can't play nearly 1/10th the amount of codecs that this ezfetch player can. In other words DON'T buy a PS3 to play movies you downloaded off the internet (legal or illegal), the PS3 won't play them. Hence, buy something like an ezfetch.
